From experience to shared knowledge

PHP Reads is the visible result of work that mostly happens behind the scenes.
Every week, we look for articles and ideas that deserve more attention in the PHP community. Sometimes that means finding a post that has just been published. Sometimes it means digging up an old post that we remember and that we find of timeless importance.
Sometimes it means encouraging someone to get back to blogging, finally write down a story, an experience, or a lesson that would otherwise remain hidden in a private conversation, a conference hallway, or a pull request discussion.
We believe the PHP community has far more knowledge than is publicly shared.
What is more, not every contribution to PHP is code. Explaining a design decision, documenting a migration, reflecting on a failure, describing how a team works with PHP at scale, or making a complex topic accessible to others are all valuable contributions. They help the community learn, make better decisions, and see the many different ways people move PHP forward.
That is why PHP Reads is not only about collecting good content. It is also about encouraging more of it to exist.
You read something that deserves more attention? Point us to it. If you know someone who should write about their experience: encourage them and tell us. And if you have an idea for an article but are not sure how to shape it, where to start, or whether it feels good enough, get in touch. We are happy to help.
The PHP community becomes stronger when more people share what they know.
